Description
Sodium Lauroamphoacetate is a zwitterionic surfactant of the amphoacetate class. It is used as a very mild cleaning agent originally used in shampoos and body washes for infants but it now sees broader use in other personal care products.
Benefits
● Gentle Cleansing Of The Skin: Sodium Lauroamphoacetate has good washing properties. Sodium Lauroamphoacetate can not only effectively remove dirt and grease, but also can prevent the skin from being overly dry.
● Regulating the pH Value Of The Skin: Sodium lauroamphoacetate can effectively regulate the pH value of the skin to keep it within a healthy range. Too alkaline or too acidic skin will affect the skin's resistance and self-repair ability, while sodium lauroamphoacetate can keep the skin neutral or slightly acidic, thereby protecting the health of the skin.
● Suitable For All Skin Types: The amount of sodium lauroamphoacetate in facial cleansers can be adjusted according to skin type. For oily skin, the amount of sodium lauroamphoacetate can be appropriately increased to achieve a thorough cleansing effect; for dry skin, the amount of sodium lauroamphoacetate can be appropriately reduced to protect the skin from moisture loss.
Description
Sodium Cocoyl Sulfate (SCS) is an anionic surfactant commonly used in skin care and personal care items for its ability to cleanse skin, emulsify formulas and help create foam. Due to its cleansing abilities, it’s often included in rinse-off products like facial cleansers.
Benefits
● Cleansing Efficacy: Sodium Cocoyl Sulfate acts as an effective cleansing agent, removing dirt, oil, and impurities from the skin and hair without causing excessive dryness or irritation.
● Rich Lather and Foam: Due to its surfactant properties, Sodium Cocoyl Sulfate produces a rich, luxurious lather in cosmetic products such as shampoos, body washes, and facial cleansers, enhancing the overall sensory experience.
● Mildness and Gentleness: Compared to some other sulfates like Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS), Sodium Cocoyl Sulfate is often considered milder, making it suitable for individuals with sensitive skin or those seeking gentler alternatives in their beauty routines.
● Compatibility with Other Ingredients: Sodium Cocoyl Sulfate is compatible with a wide range of cosmetic ingredients, allowing formulators to create stable and effective formulations that incorporate various beneficial components.

Description
Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution is a vegetable surfactant derived from coconut or palm kernel oil and corn glucose. It is a mild cleanser and surfactant which is used as a foaming agent in shampoos, shaving foam, toothpaste, and other skincare products.
Benefits
● Cleansing Effect: Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution is an efficient cleanser that can effectively remove dirt and grease from the skin surface and restore the skin to a clean state. Due to its excellent cleaning ability, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution is widely used in the production of detergents, laundry detergents, hand soaps, car washes, oil stain removers and other cleaning products.
● Foaming Effect: Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution is an excellent foaming agent that can create rich and delicate foam in liquids. This foam not only helps to improve the cleaning effect, but also brings a better user experience. Therefore, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution is widely used in personal care products such as soaps and shampoos.
● Soft Skin: The natural oils in Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution can penetrate into the skin and form a protective film on the skin surface, which plays a role in softening the skin. Frequent use of products made from Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution can make the skin softer and smoother.
● Cosmetic Raw Materials: Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate Solution can be used as a cleanser and surfactant in cosmetics, and its natural oils and moisturizing properties are beneficial to the skin. It can also help adjust physiological functions to keep the skin elastic and shiny.
Description
Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, like sodium lauryl sulfate, is a cleansing and foaming agent, but that is where the similarities end. Derived from sarcosine, an amino acid that occurs naturally in the body, Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is frequently heralded for being a thorough cleanser but also for being gentle.
Benefits
● Enhances The Lather Effect: Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a cleansing agent that enhances the lather effect which helps in the effectiveness of many cosmetic products. It is often chosen as one of the substrates of cosmetic formulations due to its ease of use and its effectiveness. It can be used together with SLS-containing and SLS-free preparations.
● Mild Degreasing Properties: Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate has mild degreasing properties that help restore softness and hydration to the skin. It is especially useful in haircare products, where it adds volume and helps to smooth the surface of the hair follicles. Thanks to these properties, the effect of well-nourished and smooth hair is obtained.
● Antistatic Properties & Preservative Role: Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate has some antistatic properties (prevents static electricity in the hair), which further increase its usefulness in haircare products. In addition, this compound plays a preservative role in care products and reduces the highly irritating effect of other substances.
● Wide Applications: Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is used as an ingredient in shampoos, face cleansers for children and adults, bath lotions and toothpastes. In addition, it can be found in intimate hygiene liquids or make-up removal products. It is also used in household detergents and their professional counterparts for industrial applications, for cleaning surfaces, in particular for cleaning vehicles.
● Gentle To The Skin: Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate is a highly active substance and at the same time it is very gentle to the skin. The substance has not been classified as a potential allergen. Safety evaluations confirmed that this ingredient is non-irritating and non-sensitizing when applied to human skin in amounts of up to 15% for rinse-off detergents and 5% for leave-on products. It is approved for use in cosmetics, even those intended for the care of children.
Manufacturing Process
● The synthesis of Aqua Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate generally adopts the Schotten-Baumann condensation method, and the process route uses lauric acid, phosphorus trichloride and sodium sarcosinate as raw materials.
● Raw materials and instruments Raw materials: sodium sarcosinate, industrial product, 37%; lauric acid, chemical phosphorus trichloride; tetrahydrofuran, ether, petroleum ether (60~90e are all analytical grade.
● Instruments: Ordinary ground glass instrument; magnetic stirrer; electric stirring drying oven; WRS-1A digital melting point instrument; FT-IR360 infrared light.
● Synthesis of lauroyl chloride Add a certain amount of lauric acid to a dry three-necked flask equipped with a reflux condenser, heat and melt, control the temperature at 60~70e, slowly add phosphorus trichloride under full stirring, react for 2h, let stand and separate, remove the lower layer Phosphorous acid can obtain the upper layer of lauroyl chloride.
● Add a certain amount of sodium sarcosinate solution and solvent tetrahydrofuran to a four-necked flask with an electric stirrer and a reflux condenser, and add lauroyl chloride and sodium hydroxide aqueous solution while stirring. The pH value of the reaction system is controlled within the range of 11. After the addition is completed, the reaction continues to convert sodium N-lauroyl sarcosinate into water-insoluble N-lauroyl sarcosine, thereby separating it from water-soluble inorganic salt impurities. The product is extracted with ether, and the upper oil layer is washed with water until neutral. After drying with anhydrous sodium sulfate, the solvent is evaporated and recrystallized with petroleum ether to obtain white needle-shaped crystals.
