Squalane is a fully hydrogenated derivative of squalene, a natural triterpene found in shark liver oil and olive oil. Unlike squalene, squalane is highly stable and resistant to oxidation, making it an ideal emollient and moisturizer for cosmetic and personal care products. Squalane is a non-comedogenic, odorless, colorless oil that closely mimics the skin natural sebum, providing deep hydration without greasiness.
